A Tribute to Bradley Hoorn, 5 Years Later

As I reflect upon the 9/11 Tragedy (an unbelievable 5 years ago), I am honored to post a meager tribute to Bradley Hoorn. Hoorn was at work at the World Trade Center on that infamous day when life as we know it was forever changed.

Hoorn was 22 years old. He had his life ahead of him, and that life was full of promise. He was a tall, slender handsome young man who was a Yale graduate who others saw as a "golden boy."

As with the other 2,995 other victims on that fateful day, Hoorn did not deserve to die for such a senseless act. What had he done? He went to work that day in New York, as so many others did.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Bradley Hoorn on this terrible anniversary. He was not just a victim of 9/11, but a real person who is very much missed and will never be replaced. I want the family and friends to know I join you in your grieving this day, even though I was not fortunate to have known him.

Words cannot bring back Bradley Hoorn, they can only remind us that he is not forgotten.
